it seemed as though i have no more 'energy' to study. what can i say? who ever likes to study, right? taking O levels this year, and not a single thing about it is true. It's not that tough, yet neither is it easy. I know how to do the questions, but am not sure if they are correct.
tomorrow is my Biology paper. The paper which needed time and effort to study for, yet i'm here, typing this post, and watching Westside Story. No longer can i ever feel the urge to study, the mood to study, nor the purpose to study.
what do we study for? For us? Or for our school? Who gets the best benefits from studying subjects like Science and Add Maths? Who gets the best benefits from getting straight aces at O levels? Is it really us? or is it the school?
I'm a language and maths person, and i'm not good in science. Yet my school limited the express students with ONLY one stream, Science stream. You know what's the most ironic thing? one of our school values is 'CREATIVITY'. ha! creativity! so why is is that ONLY <40 students are taking Literature? and only 40 students are taking Arts?
Where is the creativity in that? everyone i know knows only the details of an eyeball, the structure of the lungs, the chemical processes of extraction of metal. What do they know about humanity? What do they know about the feeling of doing something you want to do, not something you have to do?
Studying for me, has become something i have to do. Something which can allow me to survive in this world, or in the eyes of my friends. So what if i'm going to polytechnics? So what if they are going to schools like Anderson or National? Do they really have to say "Oh... Poly arh... Good luck lor." ?
What is studying for? Is it to enrich our knowledge, our minds our hearts, our souls, or simply to get that piece of paper to wave infront of your friends? What do we study for? Is it for ourselves, or for the schools to maintain their positions in the school ranking system?
Can someone tell me, what is the purpose of studying, right now?
